In the fifth inning on Tuesday vs. the Braves, Javier Baez awkwardly slid into first base and suffered an injury. It’s unclear what the injury is at the moment, but it looks to be a knee or leg issue and Baez was carted off the field.
Before exiting, he recorded no stats in two trips to the plate.
