Padres center fielder Jackson Merrill exited Wednesday’s game against the Dodgers in the fifth inning, getting replaced by Bryce Johnson. He suffered an injury in the top of the first inning after banging into the outfield wall on an attempted home-run robbery off Shohei Ohtani.
Bryce Johnson is either going to pinch-hit for Jackson Merrill or replace him in center next half inning. He's on deck right now. Merrill banged hard into the RCF wall trying to rob Shohei Ohtani's homer.

Before exiting, Merrill went 0-for-1 with a strikeout.
Since Merrill only had one plate appearance, he is eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
