Ryan Wohl breaks down his best bet for Saturday’s Undisputed Super Bantamweight title bout between Naoya Inoue vs. Junto Nakatani.
One of the greatest fights of 2026 has arrived! Two of Japan’s biggest stars, Naoya Inoue and Junto Nakatani, will face off for The Monster’s Undisputed Super Bantamweight Championship. This contest is taking place at the legendary Tokyo Dome. This event begins at 3:00 a.m. ET with the ringwalks for the Main Event expected to start at 8:00 a.m. ET.
Check out my best bet for Saturday’s Undisputed Bantamweight title bout between Naoya Inoue vs. Junto Nakatani below.
For the first time in his career, Naoya Inoue has won back-to-back fights by decision. Before that, he scored 27 knockouts in his first 30 bouts. It has been nearly a year since his last knockout, against Ramon Cardenas on May 4, 2025. Nakatani last beat Sebastian Reyes and has won five of his previous six fights by knockout.
Even though both are undefeated, Inoue is still a sizable favorite at -400 while Nakatani is a +300 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 10.5 rounds with the over being -125. Inoue is currently +110 to win by knockout and +175 to win by decision.
Nakatani has a high volume, throwing 71.4 punches per round, which ranks third in the sport, according to CompuBox. He also uses his jab often, throwing 35.6 of them per round (fourth most). Inoue has the sixth-best plus-minus in boxing at 12.5. Also, Inoue is a phenomenal defensive fighter, as opponents land only 7.6 punches per round against him (sixth-fewest).
Even though Nakatani is the fighter moving up a weight division, he is still taller (5’8″ vs. 5’5″) and has a longer standing reach (68.5″ vs. 67.5″). But Inoue should be able to neutralize that with his power, having experience against bigger opponents. Eight of Nakatani’s previous 10 contests have taken place at 114 to 117 pounds. Given that, it is unknown whether his power will remain effective at 122 pounds. I’m backing Inoue in this contest due to his elite combination of power, defense, and experience. Although Inoue’s last two wins have come by decision, I think he enters this bout more aggressively, later scoring a knockout.
