The weekend gets started right with a pair of must-watch NBA postseason contests. This two-game NBA DFS slate begins with Knicks vs. 76ers in Philadelphia. Later, the Spurs visit the Timberwolves in Minnesota as our nightcap.

Superstars are set to take the floor this evening, including Victor Wembanyama ($11,000), Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,800) and Tyrese Maxey ($8,600). With that being said, big names can only give you so much. Filling out a fantasy basketball lineup with a few lesser known role players can make a massive difference. Which bargains deserve a closer look ahead of Friday’s Game 3 matchups?

PG/SG Dylan Harper, San Antonio Spurs at MIN ($4,800)

It’s been a difficult series for Wemby, at least offensively. A stifling Timberwolves defense has held the center to 30 total points in this series. With that being said, the Spurs have found success on the perimeter, thanks in part to a collection of talented guards. Dylan Harper played a reserve role during his rookie season, averaging 12.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists (24.0 FPTS). However, the Rutgers alum has emerged as a major x-factor this postseason. In Games 1 & 2, he tallied 29 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and 60.5 total fantasy points.

Minnesota, through the first two meetings in this series, has made a strong effort to limit Wemby. That means an abundance of good looks for some of San Antonio’s role players, including Harper. A questionable tag for Ayo Dosunmu (heel) also looms large tonight. The Timberwolves have surrendered the tenth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season as well. Given his stellar play this postseason (13.1 PPG, 55% FG), Harper looks like a steal at less than $5,000.

PG/SG Miles McBride, New York Knicks at PHI ($4,000)

The status of OG Anunoby (hamstring) remains uncertain heading into Game 3. However, with the Knicks up 2-0 in this series, the smart move might be to keep the veteran on the bench. Should that occur, a starting spot is likely for Miles McBride. Deuce hasn’t been at his best this postseason, struggling to make an impact as a scorer. Through nine playoff games, he’s posted 5.9 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists (8.9 FPTS). Even more troubling, the guard is shooting 33% from the field and 40% from three-point range.

Make no mistake: McBride is a complete boom-or-bust option this evening. Still, he’s a good bet to log at least 25 minutes on Friday. That alone is enough to warrant consideration at just $4,000. It’s not as if the West Virginia alum hasn’t had any success in this spot before. During his five previous regular season appearances vs. Philadelphia, Deuce recorded 12.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals in addition to efficient 54/43/78 shooting splits. Granted, the postseason is a different beast entirely. Still, the 76ers have allowed the 13th-most three-pointers made to opponents this season (13.5). Given his reasonable price tag, McBride warrants serious consideration tonight.
