All but one series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs’ conference semifinal round are settled. The only one that isn’t sees the Montreal Canadiens primed to close out an Atlantic Division rival as the Buffalo Sabres look to fend off elimination on the road. This should be a good one at 8 p.m. ET, especially given the track record of the series so far.

Best anytime goal scorer props for Saturday 5/16/26

Nick Suzuki anytime goal scorer (+200)

As our own Sabres expert Hunter Skoczylas put it at the start of this series, it seems Nick Suzuki loves to play against this team. The Habs’ star center has 25 points against Buffalo across his last 13 games of this matchup dating back to the start of the 2024-25 campaign. Eight of those points came from goals, including three goals in five games of this series already. After being pretty passive as a scorer in the opening round, he’s now put 14 pucks on net across these last five games and shown much more aggressiveness. That’s exactly what we want to see, especially with this top line of Suzuki, Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky finally breaking the ice in this series with seven combined goals after being held in check during the matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning. I like Suzuki to pot another shot today with Buffalo struggling to handle that trio.

Rasmus Dahlin anytime goal scorer (+475)

There’s a blueliner shooting just 5.3% this postseason despite leading his team in total shots on goal. That sounds like a recipe for an anytime pick, right? To me, it’s music to my ears. Today, I like Rasmus Dahlin to sneak a puck past Jakub Dobes because because mathematically, it feels like he’s due for another one. The Sabres’ defenseman is typically very active as a shooter and finished the regular season eighth among players at his position with 194 shots on goal. He managed to connect on 19 of those, which put him seventh among blueliners in goals during the 82-game schedule. That was good for a 9.8% shooting percentage. Now, he’s been quite engaged in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a team-best 38 shots on goal, taking 17 of those during this series with at least three SOG in four of the five games. However, he’s notched only two goals, bringing that 5.3% shooting percentage. With his level of activity, I like Dahlin to tally a goal tonight with some excellent value on the odds.
