Ciaran Doyle gives his best bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday’s FIFA World Cup match between Netherlands and Sweden.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup continues on Saturday as the Netherlands faces Sweden in the second round of matches in Group F.
Let’s dive into my favorite bet for this match.
The Netherlands are currently ranked eighth in the FIFA rankings, while Sweden sits at 35th in the world.
For this bet to hit, we need Sweden to win. If the game ends in a draw, the bet will void. The Swedes were one of the most impressive teams in the first round of the World Cup, beating Tunisia 5-1. They carried on their momentum from the UEFA qualifying play-offs, where they beat Ukraine and Poland on their way to qualifying for the tournament. The duo of Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak up top is one of the most dangerous in the entire tournament, no matter the opposition. They also have more proven Premier League players in Anthony Elanga, Lucas Bergvall and Victor Lindelof.
Then, we have the Netherlands. On paper they are one of the best teams in the tournament, but their opening match was a disappointing 2-2 draw with Japan. The Dutch had a slightly larger expected goals figure, but both sides had 10 shots a piece. I think this game will be similar, as both sides are fairly even in terms of quality. The Dutch are favorites for a reason, but I can’t turn down a chance to bet on an in-form Sweden team with these juicy odds.
