For the fifth of eight Signature Events this season, the Cadillac Championship will be played at the Blue Monster Course (par 72, 7,739 yards, Bermuda greens) of Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida. From 2007-2016, the Blue Monster hosted the WGC-Cadillac Championship. In 2016, Adam Scott (-12) won by one shot. This week’s field consists of 72 golfers and there will be no cut. There is a $20 million purse at stake with first place taking home $3.6 million.

Below, I have featured my two favorite bets for the Cadillac Championship on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Collin Morikawa to win (+2000)

Morikawa suffered a back injury at THE PLAYERS Championship that forced him to withdraw, but he took off nearly a month afterwards and then contended in his next two starts, finishing T-4 at the Masters and T-7 at the RBC Heritage. The RBC Heritage was his last start and played two weeks ago, so Morikawa should be close to 100% this week and ready to contend for his second win of the season.

The Cal product won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February and beginning with that victory, Morikawa has finished inside the top-seven at five straight events. This will be his first attempt at the Blue Monster, but Morikawa has the tools to win at this venue. Three of the last five winners at the Blue Monster have led their fields in SG APP and guess who leads the PGA TOUR in SG APP this season? Morikawa.

Also, with the Blue Monster being the second-longest course on the PGA TOUR this season, being an efficient driver is a necessity at this track and Morikawa is having a great season with his driver, ranking 16th in SG OTT. Morikawa has incredibly shot under par in 20 of his past 21 rounds and these odds are just too long for the seven-time winner.

Adam Scott for a top-20 finish including ties (+118)

Scott’s resume at the Blue Monster is unmatched. The Aussie competed at all 10 of the WGC-Cadillac Championships from 2007-16 and he finished inside the top-10 five times. On top of his win in 2016, Scott finished T-3 in 2012 and T-4 in 2015.

In his 40 rounds at the Blue Monster, Scott has shot under 24 times, which is very impressive at this challenging course. His lowest number at the Blue Monster is an 8-under 64 in 2013.

Scott knows how to get around the Blue Monster better than anyone in this field and he should be able to finish inside the top-20 this weekend. Scott has only finished inside the top-20 twice in eight starts this season, but both these finishes came at Signature Events. The 45-year-old also ranks third in SG APP, 12th in total driving and 28th in par five performance.
