Davis Martin, Chicago White Sox at San Francisco Giants ($8,400) — Martin has had an eye-opening start to the season, posting a 1.61 ERA and 2.4 FIP in 56 innings. In the three prior seasons, both the ERA and FIP were above 4.00. The strikeout rate is a robust 27.4% while the K-BB% is 22.8%. He’s allowed only three home runs. San Francisco is 24th in ISO, 28th in wOBA and 29th in wRC+. Martin has produced double-digit FPTS in every start this season with seven of those nine over 20 FPTS. The high is 36.8 FPTS.

Chris Bassitt, Baltimore Orioles vs. Detroit Tigers ($5,500) — Bassitt is a meh pitcher, posting a 4.74 FIP and 5.4% K-BB%. The barrel rate is only 3.4%, though, while he’s gone at least five innings in five of the last six starts. He’s only produced double-digit FPTS in three starts, but two of those were over 20 FPTS. He’s cheap, has been going relatively deep in games recently and Detroit is 20th in both wOBA and wRC+.

Samuel Basallo, Baltimore Orioles vs. Detroit Tigers ($4,000) — Basallo has seven home runs in 149 plate appearances. The ISO is .219 while the slash is .277/.336/.496, although it’s fueled by a .341 BABIP. The average exit velocity is 92.7 mph with a 10.2% barrel rate and 75.2 mph bat speed. Jack Flaherty has a 5.6 FIP and 1.8% K-BB% against lefties this season.

Andruw Monasterio, Boston Red Sox vs. Minnesota Twins ($2,400) — With Trevor Story out, Monasterio has seen an increase in playing time. In 85 plate appearances, he has one home run, eight runs, nine RBI and a stolen base. The strikeout rate is 18.8% while the ISO is .138. Against left-handed pitching, the ISO is .207. Connor Prielipp is allowing a 90.6 mph average exit velocity and a 11.3% barrel rate. Three of the four home runs allowed have come off the bat of a righty.

Corbin Carroll, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies ($5,800) — Tomoyuki Sugano has posted a 6.82 FIP and a 4.3% K-BB% against lefties. Six of the nine home runs he’s surrendered were hit by lefties. Carroll is slashing .285/.395/.563 with a .278 ISO. He has seven home runs, 33 runs, 24 RBIs, and six stolen bases in 190 plate appearances. He owns a 91 mph average exit velocity, a 14.5% barrel rate, and a 75.1 mph bat speed. He has hit six of his home runs against righties, while posting a 130 wRC+ despite a .217 BABIP.

Yohendrick Pinango, Toronto Blue Jays vs. Pittsburgh Pirates ($3,000) — Pinango doesn’t have much power with a .089 ISO on the season. I rarely roster these types of players, but the hit tool is very good and, like most Blue Jays hitters, Pinango doesn’t strikeout much (15%). The slash is .304/.350/.393, although the BABIP is .348. The average exit velocity is a decent 89.7 mph while the bat speed is very good at 75.6 mph. He’s been batting from leadoff to fifth in the order. Over the last seven games, he’s put up at least 2 FPTS in five with a high of 17 FPTS.
