For the seventh consecutive year in NXT, they are putting on their premium live event, The Great American Bash. This is their first premium live event on the CW. The Great American Bash has a long history, having begun in the NWA in 1985 and later continuing in WCW and WWE. Overall, this is the 28th edition of The Great American Bash in professional wrestling history.
NXT general manager Robert Stone announced that the NXT Championship match between Tony D’Angelo and Naraku will open up the show, while Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey for the Women’s NXT Championship will be the Main Event. Below are my full predictions, picks, and analysis for every match at NXT The Great American Bash 2026, including quick picks for the full card, followed by a deeper breakdown of each matchup.

Since capturing the NXT Championship, Tony D’Angelo has successfully defended it twice. But now, he is up against NXT newcomer Naraku. Although Naraku joined NXT last month, he is a 15-year veteran of professional wrestling. So far in NXT, Naraku is 2-0 with wins over Mason Rook and Lunce Dorado. Even though Naraku poses a legitimate threat to the champion, it seems like it would be too soon for a title change.

Lola Vice has held the NXT Women’s Championship since April and will make her third title defense against Kendal Grey in the Main Event of The Great American Bash. Vice has done a good job at the top of NXT’s women’s division. Lola Vice beat Kendal Grey and Jacy Jayne to win the title, but now faces Grey in a one-on-one contest.
Grey has had a meteoric rise in WWE, starting in Evolve and LFG, and, a few short months later, is at the top of NXT’s women’s division. Although Vice has much more experience in this match, Grey is the better all-around athlete and should be able to get the best of the champion. This is the perfect moment for NXT to capitalize on Grey’s rise and crown her as NXT Women’s Champion in the Main Event of their first PLE on the CW.
Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey Prediction: Kendal Grey defeats Lola Vice to win the NXT Women’s Championship.
Myles Borne has been on a phenomenal run since becoming North American Champion. He has defended his title against Ethan Page, Johnny Gargano, Dion Lennox, and Saquon Shugars. Tavion Heights has been close to winning gold in the past, but once again, I think he comes up short against an elite champion in Borne.

DarkState kicked Saquon Shugars out of the group, and now Shugars will face Dion Lennox in a one-on-one match. In DarkState, Lennox separated himself as the best wrestler in the faction and appears to be a future NXT Championship contender. Lennox, with DarkState by his side, will be hard to beat at The Great American Bash.

I think Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey will be the match of the night for The Great American Bash. Vice’s hard-hitting style against Grey’s elite technical wrestling ability should make for an excellent showdown.
Although The Great American Bash features only four matches, each one has a compelling story, making for a highly anticipated event. With many different promotions putting on big events this weekend, the NXT talent should enter The Great American Bash motivated to make their mark.
