Apple has five new products coming that could launch at WWDC

Apple will unveil iOS 27, the new Siri, and a lot more in just over a week. But will any new hardware launch at WWDC? We’re currently expecting a software-only slate of announcements, but here are five upcoming Apple products with the best chance of surprising us at WWDC.

M5 Mac Studio and Mac mini

If you’re interested in buying a Mac Studio or Mac mini, many models are currently heavily backordered.

M5 versions of Mac Studio and Mac mini were originally expected to launch mid-year. That made WWDC appearances a strong possibility.

Both products have a special appeal for developers, so new models could be crowd-pleasing announcements.

Apple could always surprise us, but current supply shortages do make the arrival of M5 models at WWDC seem unlikely.

The optimistic angle is that supply chain issues might only impact current models. If Apple had long-ago reserved capacity for planned mid-year launches of M5 versions, then perhaps we’ll see the new Mac Studio and Mac mini soon after all.

Home products: New Apple TV 4K, HomePod 3, HomePod mini 2

Apple TV HomePod mini

Apple has reportedly been sitting on four new Home products that are ready to launch, save one thing: the new Siri.

These products include:

Rumors indicate the HomePad won’t arrive until this fall, when iOS 27 and the new Siri actually ship to all users. But the new Apple TV 4K, HomePod, and HomePod mini could potentially surprise with WWDC appearances.

It’s unlikely, but Apple might launch the three new Home products alongside its presentation of all of Siri’s new capabilities. Each product will have plenty to offer in addition to the Siri features.

So the pitch would be: here are these great new products with XYZ new features today, and this fall they’ll have the new Siri too.

Again, I wouldn’t count on this happening. But it’s certainly a possibility, and would enable Apple to show off new tvOS 27 features powered by Apple Intelligence. Otherwise, the tvOS segment at WWDC may be extremely short.

Do you expect Apple to launch any new hardware products at WWDC this year? Let us know in the comments.
