Apple is planning a huge Apple Card sign-up bonus for new customers as soon as next week. If you sign up for a new Apple Card, you’ll basically get a new pair of AirPods Pro 3 for free. Here’s how it’ll work.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the promotion will kick off as soon as next week in Apple’s retail stores. Gurman posted on social media:
Apple is planning a pretty big Apple Card sign-up incentive for as early as next week in retail stores: if you sign up for a new card, buy AirPods Pro 3, then you’ll get $249 cash back. In other words, if you get an Apple Card, you get free AirPods.
It’s unclear if the promotion will also be available online. Gurman’s post seems to suggest you’ll need to head to your local Apple Store to take advantage of it, though.
Apple regularly offers sign-up bonuses for new Apple Card customers, but they are far less lucrative than this and oftentimes require a referral from a current Apple Card user. As Gurman says, this is essentially a free pair of AirPods Pro 3 in exchange for opening an Apple Card.
This is made all the more notable by the fact that Apple Card doesn’t charge an annual fee of any sort.
Another lucrative Apple Card promo running until May 18th offers $100 in bonus Daily Cash when you add a co-owner to your existing account.
Apple Card’s Daily Cash system gives you cash back that can be deposited into your Apple Cash account or an Apple Card Savings Account.
The promotion also comes amid the ongoing transition of Apple Card from Goldman Sachs to Chase. Apple reached a deal with Chase to take over as the issuer of Apple Card earlier this year, with the full transition expected to take two years.
