KUXIU D5 review: A premium 5-in-1 charger - 9to5Mac
Fernando Silva · 2026-06-25 · via 9to5Mac

Kuxiu has been one of my favorite charging-related brands over the last few years. They continue to have some of the best bang-for-buck products on the market. They give you high-quality, well-built products at a much more reasonable price and include everything you need to get started, like an actual charging brick! Kuxiu’s new D5 5-in-1 charging station is no exception; they were able to give us 25W wireless charging, an active cooling system, real-time diagnostic display, and much more. I have been using the new D5 charger for a bit, and there is a lot to like about it. Here is what you need to know.

Be sure to check out our hands-on video to see everything in action!

Kuxiu D5 features and specs

At its core, this is a 3-in-1 charger for your big three: Your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. You can charge all your devices at full speed without issues. But what sets this charger apart is its unique design, active cooling fan, and circular TFT live diagnostics display. You can see exactly what the charger is doing in real time. You get:

  • Up to 25W Qi2.2 charging
  • Apple Watch fast charging
  • 5W charging for AirPods
  • Integrated TFT color display with real-time voltage, current, and wattage monitoring
  • Active cooling fan system
  • Touch-sensitive control buttons
  • Built-in clock display

The two big standouts here are, of course, the TFT display. You can see which devices are charging, how fast they are charging, and how much power they are using. The second piece is the combination of the fast Qi2.2 wireless charging pad with the active cooling fan. The more power used to wirelessly charge an iPhone, the more heat is generated. So the fan helps keep the phone cool, which also allows it to charge at full speed for longer. But how has it held up in everyday use?

My experience

The first thing that stands out to you is the design. It has a unique cube structure that can be folded up and taken with you. The charger is made of a combination of aluminum and plastic, so it feels very premium and fits the Apple look and feel very well. It is robust enough to feel like a stationary charger, yet it also has components that fold up and tuck away so you can take it on the go. The front portion has a TFT display that, of course, shows all the charging diagnostics, but it also serves as a clock and runs cute animations when it is idle. The top portion is where the MagSafe charger lives, and that can be placed flat or tilted up to support standby mode or act as an iPhone stand. In that portion, you also have the fan, which is whisper-quiet, but when you hold your hand to it, you can feel it drawing in air, which is a nice touch.

The AirPods charger sits behind the MagSafe charger, and what I like is that the pad is made of rubber, which helps keep those slippery AirPods in place. Then you have the Apple Watch charger. It is actually motorized and retractable, which I really like. There is a button on the right side of the charger. If you hold it down for 3 seconds, the Apple Watch charger just comes out on its own on the left side. So if you are not using it, you can tuck it away, but if you need it, it will pop right out. The charger also fast-charges your Apple Watch, which is a nice touch.

The best thing about this charger is just the convenience and reliability. It lets you know how much power it draws in total while also charging all your devices at full speed. It supports standby mode, it can be taken on the go, and it keeps charging safety top of mind. All in all, this is a very easy charger to recommend. And at just $59, you get the charger, a braided USB-C cable, and the necessary 45W charging brick!

Pricing, availability & final thoughts

The Kuxiu D5 is available on Kuxiu’s website today and is on sale for $59, down from the usual $89! As I mentioned, it comes with the charger, the cable, and a 45W charging brick as well.

This charger is an easy recommendation for so many reasons. It is easy to use, charges all of your main devices, and includes all the necessary peripherals; it looks unique and has a few cool tricks up its sleeve. You get a ton of value for the price. The only thing I wish it had was maybe one USB-C port so I could plug in one additional device, but otherwise it checks off every box for me. What do you think of this charger? Is it worth it at $59? Let’s discuss below!
