We are now officially into day 2 of the massive Amazon Prime Day event, and it’s time to look at the best MacBook deals up for grabs this year. We have $150 off across the M5 MacBook Air lineup and up to $250 the 2026 M5 Pro and M5 Max machines.
Those offers also sit next to some official Prime Day deals on newer M4 MacBook Air models at as much as $430 off the 2025 launch prices in Amazon’s Apple Prime Day deal section. Plus, we even have a small savings on the incredibly popular MacBook Neo.
The Prime Day deals on MacBooks come as Apple has confirmed its products are set to become more expensive due to rising component costs. Here’s why.
Last week, Tim Cook confirmed that Apple products will soon get more expensive. The outgoing Apple CEO explained that price increases have become “unavoidable” due to rising costs of components like memory and storage.
While Cook didn’t specifically say which Apple products are getting more expensive, the increase will almost certainly affect the Mac.

Apple’s 2026 M5 MacBook Air is landing for Prime Day at $150 off the prices it launched with a few months back now. Starting from $949, just about every color and every storage/RAM configuration Amazon sells is marked down for Prime Day this year.
Over in the Apple Prime Day deal section, Amazon is also highlighting a trio of Renewed M4 MacBook Air models at as much as $434 off the original 2025 list prices here. Perhaps a notable option for folks trying to stray from that $900+ range and, if you ask me, still a perfectly capable machine in 2025:
As far as the 2026 M5 Pro and M5 Max models, we are looking at as much as $250 off the list prices for Prime Day. The latest 2025 models are also seeing some solid deals right now with as much as $170 in savings and far lower prices than getting up to that $1,999+ range for an Apple Pro/Max chip:
Apple is still having a hard time shipping its new ultra-affordable MacBook in a timely manner to some places across the country and, while Amazon isn’t offering any major discounts right now, it is delivering them as soon as tomorrow to most locations for the lowest price around – who knows how much this thing (or a future iteration of it) is going to cost after the potential price hikes:
