Apple CEO Tim Cook is making the rounds in Washington D.C. this week, just days after Apple announced its CEO transition plan. This fall, John Ternus will become Apple CEO with Cook remaining active as Executive Chairman of the Board.
In Cook’s capacity as Executive Chairman, Apple says that the outgoing Apple CEO will remain active in interfacing with policy makers around the world.
In that sense, Cook’s visit to Washington this week is as much a preview of what’s to come as well as a continuation of the last decade and a half.
Tim Cook isn’t just taking a victory lap in Washington D.C. this week. Cook is reportedly at the White House today as President Trump welcomes the King and Queen of the UK.
Later today, King Charles III will address the United States Congress. Presumably, Cook will also be in attendance.
Separately, Cook visited Commerce Secretary Lutnick on Monday at the U.S. Department of Commerce:

Meanwhile, Cook on X has announced the release date for Ted Lasso season four today. Truly something British for everyone this week.
