The Narwhals Song, known for the repeated lyrics, Narwhals, Narwhals, Swimming In the Ocean, is a song and animated music video about narwhals by YouTuber and animator Weebl, also known as MrWeebl. The video was released in late February 2009 and went viral, inspiring reactions, covers, memes and more over the following years. The upload is considered a classic YouTube video by many, alongside other Weebl videos like "Badger, Badger, Badger," for its absurdity and catchiness.
In April 2026, the video and song experienced a resurgence on TikTok as the subject of edits. In the memes, the narwhals are often replaced with brainrot characters, such as Tung Tung Tung Sahur, and other notable meme-related characters.
On February 22nd, 2009, YouTuber[1] and animator Weebl uploaded a video to the Weebl's Stuff channel titled "Narwhals : animated music video : MrWeebl," garnering over 66 million views in 17 years. The video and song are about narwhals and how awesome they are, calling them the "Jedi of the sea" and highlighting the ways they use their horns.
The Narwhals song became the subject of remixes, edits and covers throughout the 2010s, with Weebl also making alternate versions of the song.
On October 14th, 2011, Weebl uploaded a jazz version of the song to the Weebl's Stuff YouTube[2] channel, gaining over 2.5 million views in 15 years.
On July 20th, 2014, YouTuber[3] pellekofficial posted a metal cover of the song, garnering over 270,000 views in 12 years.
The video continued to spread over the next decade-plus. For example, on January 30th, 2026, the original was reposted by the X[4] / Twitter page @LostMemeArchive, garnering over 4,800 likes and 137,000 views in three months.
The Narwhals song was officially uploaded to TikTok[5] by Weebl on November 30th, 2022, gaining over 3 million views in four years. He uploaded it to TikTok[6] again on October 30th, 2024, to over 4 million views in two years. The song was used in numerous videos over the following years.
In April 2026, the Narwhals song saw a significant resurgence in popularity on TikTok. On April 4th, 2026, TikToker[7] @ineedmy4skinremov posted a video of IShowSpeed screaming under the caption, "how ppl who have trypophobia react when they pull down a girl's skirt and see a hole," garnering over 950,000 views in two weeks.

On April 13th, TikToker[8] @uriel_osaka_xddd posted an edit that replaces the narwhals with narwhal versions of Tung Tung Tung Sahur, garnering over 680,000 views in a week.
