A new era for your health and wellness
Rishi Chandra GM, Health & Home · 2026-05-07 · via Fitbit

For years, we've been working to bring the best of Google to the world of health. Already, over a billion questions on Google Search are health-related every day. More people are turning to the Gemini app to ask health questions, prepare for doctor appointments and support their wellness. And with Fitbit and Pixel Watch, we’ve been investing in world-class wearables to provide continuous health guidance.

Today, we’re announcing a huge step forward — enabling users to take even more agency over their health and wellness and provide continuous, proactive and personalized guidance. Here’s what’s coming:

-A single-app solution: The Google Health App

The Fitbit app is entering a new era and leveling up as the Google Health app. With the new app, we’re bringing together all of your health data, from wearable devices, Health Connect, Apple Health and your medical records into a single place. You can get a holistic view of your health, and soon will be able to securely share your data with friends, family and doctors. Existing Fitbit users will automatically get upgraded to the new app, and later this year we will begin migrating Google Fit users into the Google Health app.

-Your personalized health companion: Google Health Coach

Last October, we set out to build a new kind of coach — available 24/7, backed by science and designed to adapt to you and your health needs. It’s a fitness trainer, a sleep coach and a health and wellness advisor — all working together to help you be your best — whether that means maximizing performance on the court, in the office or at home with family. In Public Preview, we have been listening to your feedback and making continuous improvements. Starting May 19, we are making the Google Health Coach publicly available as part of Google Health Premium (formerly Fitbit Premium). Premium plans start at $9.99 per month or $99 per year, and are automatically bundled as part of Google AI Pro and Ultra tiers.

-Our most comfortable Fitbit ever: Fitbit Air

We believe the right health tools should work for everyone, regardless of their lifestyle or budget. That’s where Fitbit Air comes in. This discreet, screenless tracker is simple, affordable and comfortable enough to wear 24/7. We designed it with the Google Health Coach in mind — its advanced sensor technology provides the right data the coach needs to give you the most personalized guidance. And with the Stephen Curry Fitbit Air Special Edition, you can bring his edge to your own workouts. Every Fitbit Air comes with 3 months free of Google Health Premium, and is available in a variety of colors for $99, or $129 for the Special Edition.

We’re just getting started and will continue to make health more accessible and intuitive for everyone. We can’t wait to see how these tools help you reach your goals and help you live a longer, healthier life.
