No mention of car parks, and the fact is a 258 unit development will need at least 516 underground car spaces.
If this developer, and the one responsible for a planned complex adjacent to Woolooware Station, think they can justify inadequate parking because buyers will predominantly use public transport, they're in La-La Land.
The council is about to launch a blitz on boat and caravan parking on streets, some just hundreds of metres from this site.
It's simple: no approval unless developers commit to adequate on-site car parks.
DOG RESPONSIBILITY
My husband and I were heading to dinner at Cronulla. We parked and were walking to the venue. Lighting was dim and my husband slipped and tore his groin.
After regaining our composure, we realised he had slipped on dog waste on the footpath that had not been cleaned up by the owner of the dog.
My husband could not walk, he was in immense pain and he was soiled with dog poo and, after many passers-by checked on us, we drove home.
As a result, my husband has lost at least a day's pay and now needs to spend hundreds of dollars on physio to get him up and walking again.
My message to dog owners is...take responsibility for your dog and clean up after them. Instantly, this irresponsible dog owner has cost us thousands of dollars in treatment.
There are CCTV cameras in the area so we are hoping to be able to identify the dog owner responsible.
E-BIKE DAMAGE
I note Sutherland Shire Council has highlighted a cost to ratepayers for recent e-bike damage in Dunningham Park.
It's time the state government stepped up and stopped its weak approach to e-bike riders and make them and their parents accountable for any damage caused by these riders, such as some sort of ID, instead of ratepayers footing the bill once again.
E-BIKE BRATS
I feel for you Irene (E-bike brats, Letters, May 27). Increasingly, it's not just self-entitled, ill-mannered, arrogant e-bike brats, but adults also riding in pedestrian-only areas, as if they have the right to do so, and often at breakneck speeds.
The sooner the government and councils get their act together and enact mandatory number plates the better.
It will resolve nearly all the e-bike criminality of adult and child alike. If it's got a motor, it needs to be licensed.

GUARDIAN ANGEL
Saints and angels usually appear with trumpets blaring and nymphs dancing. That's what mythology tells us, but my helper wore jeans and pushed a very full shopping trolley. And, it was this woman who came to my aid when I tripped over a garbage can parked on the pedestrian walkway adjacent to the centre entry to Menai Marketplace.
She was just marvellous, staying with me to ensure my safety and all the time giving me comfort and confidence. I knew not her nor she me, and I hope she reads my small note of thanks.
My only clue is that many years back when I worked at Menai Primary School she hired the school hall for karate lessons. Karate I believe is based on the highest of moral and ethical standards. What a splendid model she was of these goals.

DEBT OF GRATITUDE
It has thus been chiselled in stone, "There are only two types of people in this world - those who live in the St George and Sutherland Shire and those who wish they did."
It was a wonderful autumn day as I ventured into my backyard to give effect to some horticultural activities previously known as 'gardening'. I was enthusiastic, full of prescribed medications for elderly people but no alcohol, also as firmly suggested because of the deleterious effect on the medications.
Set and ready to go in my little corner of the world. Then it happened - I "had a fall" (old people like me do that, whereas kids "fall over"). I fell on a rock, well-entrenched and camouflaged, with my elbow first. It was with such violent force that three bones were broken in a small but weight-lifting joint.
At first, I wasn't concerned as pain and I are old friends...after all, I've been divorced and had builders working on my property. However, the serious demeanour of health professionals (previously 'doctors') caused me some concern. It was unanimous that an urgent procedure was needed. I underwent surgery for about 90 minutes led by a brilliant orthopaedic surgeon.
So, here I am now after a few weeks with a brand new elbow, not the creaking old joint within an old body. I owe a debt of gratitude to so many specially gifted people in the world of better health - you discharge your responsibilities with dedication and enthusiasm. Your pay is lousy and you work way beyond the requirements of your short-sighted statement of duties.
There is a common trait reflected from all of you - humility. That is why I have not named names as I would be typing here and have to miss my 'nanna nap for old men'.
Thank you to the medical and support staff of My Health Engadine and of Sutherland Hospital, and to my close family for their concern. Among them are two nurses, a para-medical person and a social worker.
And one last word of gratitude - to one of the theatre staff, who showed great patience (no pun intended) when I asked her if I would be able to play the violin. Her reply, "of course, you will". When I responded, "That's good - I could never play it before", with an exasperated sigh and a roll of the eyes, she hurried away to save yet another life.
What a vocation for all those mentioned - saving lives.
Doesn't get any better. Thanks heaps for saving mine.
