Anzac Day commemoration services in Sutherland Shire have begun at Engadine with a community street march followed by a ceremony in the town square.

Engadine RSL sub-Branch introduced the commemoration on the Sunday before Anzac Day many years ago so that veterans and their families could attend a local service while still being able to travel to the City on Anzac Day for the Dawn Service at the Cenotaph.

Over the last month, Engadine and Cronulla RSL sub-Branch members packed 262 care packages for Australian Defence Force members serving overseas.
Packages include food items, personal comforts and messages from local students and preschoolers.
Dawn Services will be held at nine locations across the Shire, along with a 9.30am event at Sylvania:

- Caringbah: March 4.10am, service 4.20am, War Memorial.
- Sutherland, March 5.15am, service 5.30am, War Memorial.
- Cronulla: March 5.30am, service: 5.35am, Cronulla Park.
- Menai: Bagpipes 5:15am, service 5.30am, Memorial Wall Parc Menai.
- Engadine: Service 5.30am, War Memorial.
- Miranda: March 5.30am, service: 5:45am, War Memorial.
- Heathcote: Service 5.30am The Arbour, Oliver Street.
- Bundeena: Service 6am, War Memorial.
- Woronora: Bagpipes 5.55am, service 6am, War Memorial.
- Sylvania: Service 9.30am, Sylvania Bowling Club.
