The gourmet grocer, coffee shop, butcher and wine bar, at the southern end of Cronulla Street, will become Duke's Providore from Friday May 1.
Duke's is short for Marmaduke, the middle name of co-proprietor Paul Harbord's father Fred, after whom the business was named.
Mr Harbord and business partner Nathan Creary were "recently made aware they had inadvertently infringed on an existing trademarked name that operates within the same category," a statement said.

"Class 43 includes operators in the food, drink and short-term accommodation space, including cafes, restaurants, bars and catering providers.
"Following negotiations with the other party, Creary and Harbord have agreed to change the name of their much-loved venue to one with just as much meaning."
Mr Creary said, "While the name on the door will be different, the people, service and high-quality food that has made the venue so special, will remain".
"We want our customers to feel exactly the same walking through the doors as they do now, except instead of meeting at Fred's, they'll be meeting at Duke's," he said.
Fred's Providore opened during the pandemic when the area was struggling, with numerous vacant shops.
Mr Creary told the Leader in 2025 his vision from the start was to create a space that would be used from early morning until late at night.
Fred was initially a premium grocer before adding a butchery, delicatessen and cafe.
In 2025, it launched Fred's After Hours, a wine bar and bistro that operates from Thursday to Sunday.
In conjunction with the name change, the venue will introduce a new menu on May 1, which will "include the return of cult classics like the meatball focaccia and items like a house-butchered steak frites".
