After a winless start to the National Rugby League season, the club parted ways with head coach Shane Flanagan prior to this weekend's traditional Anzac Day clash with the Sydney Roosters.
Meanwhile, Shane's son, Dragons half Kyle, has been relegated to the interchange bench for this weekend's game. Youngster Kade Reed has instead been named in the starting side.

Just prior to these events, Kyle listed his family's southern Sydney property for sale several days ago.
In 2024, Kyle and now wife Caity Airey made a key move off the field, securing their first home together.
Their $2.65 million purchase was made off-market.

They bought the Burraneer home from Caity's parents, Janelle and Craig Airey, a former director at the Cronulla Sharks.
The mid-century, modern-style home had been bought by Craig and Janelle for $1.38 million in 2008.
Set on a 662 square metre block, it has five bedrooms, water views and a pool.
The home has now been listed for sale, and is due to be auctioned on May 14.
The co-selling agent, Matt Debreczeni from Ray White Sutherland Shire said there wasn't currently a price guide for the home.
Mr Debreczeni said there had been strong interest in the property so far, which had been shown off-market in recent months.
Mr Debreczeni said the Flanagans had been planning to sell for a while, as they were looking to upgrade.
According to Cotality, currently the median house price in Burraneer is $3,640,812.

Since making his debut in 2018, Kyle has also played for Cronulla, Sydney Roosters and Canterbury during his NRL career.
In 2024, he sold his two-bedroom Woolooware apartment for $748,500. He had bought the property for $650,000 in 2018.
Other family members have also been active in the property market.
In 2014, then Cronulla Sharks coach Shane sold his long-time Bangor home for $1.075 million.
Cotality records show the four-bedroom home had been purchased in 1994 for $330,000.
The sale took place as Flanagan had spent $2.3 million on a five-bedroom house in Caringbah South.
Also, in 2017, Flanagan helped his daughter Jade buy an $840,000 two-bedroom apartment in Woolooware Bay as her first home.

Meanwhile, Dragons assistant coach Michael Ennis has also departed the club in the wake of Flanagan and head of football Ben Haran leaving.
Fox League commentator Ennis and wife Simone have recently been on the move in the Sutherland Shire.
Cotality records indicate they paid $3.085 million last year to relocate to Greenhills Beach.
This follows the couple recently selling their Lilli Pilli home for $3.19 million.
Records show they had bought the five-bedroom property in 2021 for $2.95 million.
