Georges River Council is presenting two design options which are now open for feedback.
The sport and recreation supports rugby league, cricket, and includes a playground, bike track and basketball area.
The existing amenities building which includes public toilets, change rooms, storage and a small canteen, no longer meets current safety or accessibility standards.
The council plans to renew the building as part of its amenity upgrade program with a modern facility. The upgrade will improve access, safety and overall user experience for the whole community.
Both design options include a range of core improvements, including:
. Four fully accessible and compliant change rooms
. Modern, gender-neutral public toilets
. Dedicated storage for sporting groups
. A shared canteen with storage
. Improved site access, including ramps, footpaths
The improvements will also improve lighting and security, making the facility easier to use during the evening.
The council is now asking the community to choose between two design options:
. Option A delivers all core upgrades. It focuses on a modern, practical facility that meets the needs of sporting groups and everyday park users.
. Option B includes all of the above features, along with a proposed gym. The gym has been put forward by St George District Rugby League Football Club.
The proposed gym would be fully funded by the club, at no cost to the council or the community. It would support both elite and junior programs based at Todd Park. It would also be open to the wider community under a formal access agreement.
Georges River Council mayor Elise Borg said the project is a direct result of long-term community feedback and planning.
"This upgrade is about creating a facility that works for everyone who uses Todd Park," Councillor Borg said.
"We've listened to our community and our sporting groups, and now we want people to tell us which option best meets their needs."
The project builds on previous consultation and the adopted Carss Bush Park and Todd Park Master Plan.
The community is encouraged to review both design options and provide feedback via the council's Your Say webpage.
