The Seymour Shaw Park upgrade, Heathcote Oval upgrade and a new amenities block at Cooper Street Reserve, Engadine are among other works in the pipeline.
An update, prepared in March, was considered at council meetings in May.
Key elements of the update included:
Cronulla Town Square:
The Stage 2C mall upgrade includes a new performance area, public amenities, paving, seating and seating and extra lighting, more than 20 indigenous Cabbage Tree palms and other mature trees, from four to nine metres in height, and garden beds.
Work is progressing in accordance with the current program, with approximately 90 per cent of pavement works completed.
Key milestones include waterproofing and ceiling installation for the amenities building and completion of the performance stage base slab.
Current works focus on internal fit-out, paving, stage construction and playground replacement, with practical completion expected in June 2026.

Construction activities are advancing in line with the current program, including completion of cricket nets, retaining walls, partial turfing (Stage 1), lighting, and structural works for the amenities building and viewing platform.
Ongoing works include roofing, backfilling and stair preparations, with completion anticipated in July 2026.
Further progress has been made on spectator infrastructure and finishing works, with remaining turfing and roofing scheduled over the coming months.
As part of the Seymour Shaw Park project, an Expression of Interest (EOI) has been issued inviting artists to apply for the opportunity to design murals on brick retaining walls and cricket net enclosures.
The murals will represent themes including First Nations flora and fauna, the sporting community, the local environment, and family inspiration.
A total of nine murals are planned with submissions currently being assessed by the Public Art Advisory Panel.
