One of these distinctive masks was left on Bowden Crescent, Connells Point following the alleged assault.

About 6.45am on Monday, February 2, police responded to reports of a man who had allegedly been assaulted by two unknown men outside a property on Bowden Cresent, Connells Point.

The victim, aged 57, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of inquiries, officers have released CCTV footage of two men and a vehicle, which may be able to assist with inquiries.

The men are described as being of medium build, both wearing hooded jerseys, and masks at the time of the incident. One of these distinctive masks was left on Bowden Crescent.

The vehicle is described as a silver Toyota Hilux utility.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information on the incident or CCTV footage of the Toyota travelling in the Connells Point area between 6.30am and 7am on Monday 2 February 2026 is urged to contact St George Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
