Not everything is all clear and all figured out for the Warriors right now, but Yaxel Lendeborg did his best to keep everybody on track at his introductory presser Friday.
Including the general manager who drafted him three days earlier.
“He’s got some leadership qualities, particularly on the court,” Mike Dunleavy said after he and second-round pick Lajae Jones deferred to Lendeborg through much of the session. “He just connects with guys, even today [giving some] direction to answer questions.”
Lendeborg’s a very big wing with a cheery, main-character personality, and, at 23, he’s set up for a much larger role than rookies usually get on this veteran-laden team. If Lendeborg doesn’t leap into a main-rotation role, it’ll be a major surprise — and disappointment.
