Things for the 2026 Giants got really late really, really early.

It’s already too late to predict the first scapegoats for this season, since Hector Borg, Patrick Bailey, Jerar Encarnación, and Ryan Walker all lost their places on this team — and were a bit scapegoated, mostly fairly — weeks ago.

It’s already too late to rationally believe that the Giants can do much to turn this around and work their way into the playoffs. It’s only mid-June and it’s too late for a team nobody expected to be this bad.
