The following laws take effect on July 1:

• revised Civil Aviation Law [民用航空法] (adopted Dec. 27, 2025);
• Law on Promoting Ethnic Unity and Progress [民族团结进步促进法] (adopted Mar. 12, 2026); and
• Social Assistance Law [社会救助法] (adopted Apr. 30, 2026).

The NPC Standing Committee (NPCSC) is seeking public comment on the following bills through July 25:

• draft Procuratorial Public Interest Litigation Law [检察公益诉讼法];
• draft Antarctic Activities and Environmental Protection Law [南极活动与环境保护法];
• draft National Fire and Rescue Personnel Law [国家消防救援人员法];
• draft revision to the Government Procurement Law [政府采购法];
• draft revision to the Bid Invitation and Bidding Law [招标投标法];
• draft Finance Law [金融法];
• draft amendment to the Lawyers Law [律师法]; and
• draft revision to the Law on the People’s Bank of China [中国人民银行法].

The NPCSC will meet for its next regularly scheduled session in late August.
