On March 21st, 2026, I went to Del Valle Regional Park for a short hike and photography. The water level of the Del Valle Lake was not very high. I could walk on the rocks in the lake and get close to some of the birds, such as Turkey Vultures, for photography. The visitor center was also open during the weekend and the park ranges were giving an educational talk about the owls living in the park.
I only brought my Tamron 28-300mm F/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD lens for this trip. It turns out that it might be a better idea to bring my Sony FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS + Sony FE 2x Teleconverter for better wildlife photography.
