Introduction
On March 7th, 2026, I went to McLaughlin Eastshore State Park for a short hike and photography. It is a shoreline park along the east side of the San Francisco Bay, with a lot of dogs playing in the sea water and a few birds flying around. There is a protection area specifically for burrowing owls. However, I was not able to see any burrowing owls during this trip.
