Contexto e Desafios

AXIA nasce como o novo nome e a nova expressão da Eletrobras — um marco que traduz a transformação de uma empresa símbolo da engenharia brasileira em uma marca que articula valor e futuro. Mais do que um rebranding, o projeto representou uma mudança de perspectiva: de quem gera energia para quem articula possibilidades a partir dela.

Fomos convidados para conduzir essa transição, unindo estratégia, naming, design e linguagem para revelar a essência de uma marca que sempre moveu o Brasil. O ponto de partida foi o próprio DNA da Eletrobras, com sua capacidade de construir, conectar e gerar impacto em escala nacional. A partir dessa origem, buscamos traduzir um novo papel: o de articuladora de energia, negócios e transformação.

Context & Challenges
AXIA emerges as the new name and expression of Eletrobras — a milestone that embodies the transformation of a company once known as a symbol of Brazilian engineering into a brand that now articulates value and future. More than a rebranding, this project represented a shift in perspective: from a company that generates energy to one that articulates possibilities through it.

We were invited to lead this transition, uniting strategy, naming, design, and language to reveal the essence of a brand that has always moved Brazil. The starting point was Eletrobras’ own DNA, defined by its capacity to build, connect, and create impact on a national scale. From this origin, we sought to translate a new role: that of an articulator of energy, business, and transformation.

Desafio

Como expressar uma mudança profunda sem romper com o que a marca representa para o país? O desafio foi dar forma simbólica a uma transição histórica, respeitando um legado de mais de seis décadas enquanto se abria caminho para o novo.

Era preciso criar uma identidade capaz de comunicar inovação e movimento, mas sustentada pela força institucional e pela confiança que sempre fizeram da Eletrobras uma referência nacional. A marca precisava falar de futuro sem perder a voz da sua origem, unindo consistência e fluidez, engenharia e humanidade, infraestrutura e imaginação.

Challenge
How do you express profound change without breaking from what the brand represents to an entire country? The challenge was to give symbolic form to a historic transition, honoring a legacy of more than six decades while opening space for the new.

We needed to create an identity capable of communicating innovation and movement, yet anchored in the institutional strength and trust that have always made Eletrobras a national reference. The brand had to speak of the future without losing the voice of its origin — uniting consistency and fluidity, engineering and humanity, infrastructure and imagination.

O nome AXIA nasce da ideia de eixo — axis, em latim — e de valor — axia, em grego. Ele traduz o novo papel da marca: ser o eixo que articula pessoas, talentos e oportunidades para gerar valor a partir da energia.

A partir desse conceito, desenhamos um sistema de identidade visual e verbal centrado na articulação. No design, o eixo se manifesta em uma forma que conecta múltiplos pontos em expansão, refletindo a rede de valor que a marca representa. Na linguagem verbal, o verbo assume protagonismo: a voz de AXIA se constrói por ritmo, presença e ação.

Do naming ao manifesto, cada expressão foi pensada para tornar visível o que sempre moveu a Eletrobras — uma energia que agora se transforma em força viva de articulação e futuro.

Solution
The name AXIA was born from the idea of axis — axis in Latin — and value — axia in Greek. It expresses the brand’s new role: to be the axis that connects people, talents, and opportunities to generate value from energy.

Building on this concept, we designed a visual and verbal identity system centered on articulation. In design, the axis takes shape as a form that connects multiple expanding points — reflecting the network of value the brand represents. In verbal language, the verb takes the lead: AXIA’s voice is built through rhythm, presence, and action.

From naming to manifesto, every expression was crafted to make visible what has always driven Eletrobras — an energy that now transforms into a living force of articulation and future.
