The pond is obviously the most important thing here

Another day, another Crimson Desert patch. The devs behind the everything but the kitchen sink RPG, Pearl Abyss, seem deadset on somehow eventually including the sink too, as while this update is a small one, it continues to add yet more features, things to discover, a pet to own, and a good bit more besides.

The top billing item for this particular patch is the new pet, which just so happens to be a baby wyvern. Truthfully, those things look just a little bit nasty, in the way that all lizard and lizard adjacent creatures tend to, but a baby is a baby, and babies are always good. What's notable here is that in a future update, it will be possible to grow your baby wyverns so that they can become registered as mounts. In the meantime, wild wyverns can be temporarily used as mounts once you've subdued one.

For those that just like to vibe out at Howling Hill or Pailune Camp, you now have the option to build a pond. Any fish you've caught can be released into it, and if you put in multiple of the same species, they'll make babies "at a rate that varies by species." Can't wait for the "fish that pork the fastest in Crimson Desert" YouTube videos. Fish can also die if there's too many in the pond, but you can put your legendary fish in there without worrying. Quite a sweet little addition, honestly.

Quite conveniently, there is also a slot to equip tools, with certain bits of equipment that you previously would put in the secondary weapon slot now going there instead. That includes things like the logging axe, shovel and scythe. Also, Kliff can use muskets and shotguns now. There's that kitchen sink! Oh, and if you find those outlaws you've tied up who won't shut up annoying, there's an option to mute them. Friction, in my video game? Perish the thought!

There are plenty more changes, tweaks, fixes, additions and more besides to be found in this patch too, all of which you can read about here.
