Several years ago, Logitech, the massive keyboard and mouse brand, acquired a Finnish company called Loupedeck. The company made programmable consoles for computers, which could launch applications and provide shortcut buttons for software like Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. Loupedeck wasn’t first of its kind, that was Elgato, but Loupedeck built a loyal following and some great software underpinning the system.
When Logitech acquired Loupedeck, it ended the brand and introduced its own device, which was called Logitech MX Creative Console. The product consisted of a keypad with nine programmable mini LED buttons and a separate dialpad with assorted buttons that could be programmed with shortcuts and macros for various software packages. The MX Creative Console aims to speed up the manual tasks when creating content with video, images and illustration software applications.
The MX Creative Console has been particularly popular with users of creative software and until now, there hasn’t been much competition, but that could be about to change with the launch of the Ulanzi DX200 Creative Deck, a new product that looks remarkably similar to Logitech’s MX Creative Console.
Like Logitech's MX Creative Keypad and the Elgato Stream Deck, the Ulanzi D200X Creative Deck has programmable LCD buttons.

The Ulanzi D200X Creative Deck is described as a “next-generation creator control hub” that’s designed for videographers, filmmakers, editors and livestreamers who want faster and more integrated workflows. Building on the D200 platform, the D200X transforms a traditional macro controller into a full creative command center that combines visual macro controls with precision rotary input and high-speed hardware connectivity in a single device.
At its core, the Ulanzi D200X is a multi-dimensional control system designed to streamline complex creative tasks. It has 14 customizable LCD keys, a trio of programmable knobs, plus a couple of paging buttons that let creators trigger shortcuts, adjust parameters and navigate workflows.
Compared with traditional button-only controllers, the Ulanzi D200X Creative Desk provides faster interaction for tasks such as color grading, audio adjustment, lighting control and livestream switching. The company says the knobs represent a major upgrade over previous generations, enabling fine adjustments that are particularly valuable for post-production workflows.
As well as bottons and dial, the Ulanzi D200X also functions as a hub with USB ports, HDMI output and memory card slots.

Beyond control functionality, the D200X integrates a high-density 8-in-1 I/O matrix that combines power delivery, high-speed data transfer, 4K display output and audio monitoring into a single device. This means it can replace multiple peripherals, which should reduce desktop cable clutter while serving as a mobile workstation for multi-device creators.
The integrated I/O system of the D200X Creative Deck differs from the MX Creative Console because it has three USB 3.2 ports with speeds up to 10Gbps, 100W PD charging input, 4K 60Hz HDMI output, Dual SD / TF card slots and 3.5mm audio input/output. So as well as offering controls, it can also function as a desktop hub.
With the built-in HDMI output, creators can run a secondary display directly from the device, enabling dual-screen workflows for editing timelines, monitoring previews and managing assets.
The D200X is powered by Ulanzi Studio, an open control platform that supports a wide range of creative and productivity workflows including video editing, image processing, livestream management, audio control and automation. Unlike some competing solutions, the ecosystem doesn’t have subscription fees, doesn’t depend on licensed software platforms, plus it offers free access to presets and plugins.
The D200X Creative Deck can be teamed up with the Ulanzi Dial to create a setup similar to Logitech's MX Creative Console.

To further enhance workflows, the D200X can also be paired with the Ulanzi Dial Editing Assistant, a wireless rotary controller like Logitech’s MX Creative Console Dialpad, which is designed for precision editing and streamlined production workflows. The Ulanzi Dial has a precision rotary wheel and tactile buttons for timeline navigation, color grading adjustments, and parameter fine-tuning. With Bluetooth connectivity supporting up to three devices, it lets creators have a flexible wireless editing interface.
Ulanzi D200X is deeply integrated with Ulanzi Studio 3.0, as well as other Ulanzi hardware accessories. The company says this allows creators to control both software and hardware from a single interface. It can directly control compatible Ulanzi lighting systems and integrate with smart platforms such as Philips Hue, Home Assistant, Govee, Nanoleaf and Yeelight, letting creators to manage their entire studio environment from one centralized control hub.
In the future, Ulanzi says the Studio software will evolve with regular updates, new plugins and presets to provide creators with an adaptable workflow solution.
