The new Dreame NAVO Smart Lock A10

Dreame, a brand you probably associate with robot vacuum cleaners, is pushing further into the smart home, and it’s your front door that it has in its sights.

The Chinese smart home specialist has officially launched its first smart locks, with the headline being the Navo Smart Lock A10.

If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Dreame showed it off back in January at CES 2026.

Now it’s available to buy and it’s clearly aiming at hitting an affordable price point rather than chasing the ultra-premium crowd. It’s a similar approach to what it took with robo-cleaners and is now one of the most widely respected high-end brands in that space.

The A10 has support for Matter, which means the A10 plays nicely with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa as well as platforms like SmartThings and Home Assistant. That alone makes it far more flexible than a lot of budget locks.

What’s interesting is that it doesn’t force you down a single path. If you’ve already got a Thread border router sitting at home, something like a HomePod or Apple TV, you can run it over Thread. If not, it falls back to Wi-Fi with no extra hub required, which makes setup a lot less intimidating for anyone just getting started.

You’re getting all the usual unlock options: fingerprint, PIN codes, NFC tags, app control, voice assistants and a physical key, along with extras like scheduled access codes and one-time passes for guests.

There’s also geofencing auto-unlock, although it’s the more familiar Bluetooth-based approach rather than anything fancier like ultra-wideband (UWB).

It also boasts a built-in gyroscope, which tracks whether the door is actually open or closed. That feeds into auto-locking, so it can lock itself once the door shuts rather than relying on a timer.

A more unusual twist is the optional smart door handle that pairs directly with the lock and adds a simple button press to unlock as you grab the handle on the way out. It’s not something you see often at this price.

It’s rated IP65 and carries BHMA Grade 2 certification and power comes from a rechargeable battery that’s rated for around eight months, although you’ll need to remove it to charge. There is a USB-C port on the front for emergency power if you get caught out.

There are some trade-offs though. Apple Home Key isn’t supported, and neither is UWB unlocking. Matter support is also a bit limited right now, with things like PIN management and battery status still tied to the Dreame app.

That missing Home Key support is worth flagging, especially since Dreame’s other lock, the even-cheaper Safio Turbo Lite, does support it. The A10 instead leans on its fingerprint reader as the primary quick-access method, which, depending on your preference, might not feel like much of a loss.

At $179.99, or closer to $120 with launch discounts, it’s clearly positioned as a budget-friendly option, and that’s really the angle here.

And while there’s no sign of Aliro support yet, the fact that this is a Matter device leaves the door open for future updates.
