The Samsung Wallet Slip-Up

This may have been done in error, and if not, it’s a curious way to unveil a new phone. The appearance of the phone’s name was spotted by Dutch website Galaxy Club and picked up by SamMobile.

“Samsung launched two mid-range phones, the Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A57, a few weeks ago. The company is now preparing to introduce more affordable Galaxy A series devices. Ahead of their launch, Samsung has confirmed the existence of the Galaxy A27,” SamMobile reported.

The mention comes as part of a list of devices which are compatible with Samsung Wallet. Galaxy Club points out that the page is not without errors, saying, “A nice detail is that the list calls the Galaxy S25 Edge by its original code name: Galaxy S25 Slim,” which makes you wonder if the A27 listing is a mistake.

However, it was expected the A27 would join the range, so it looks likely to correct.

There are no other details, though previous reports have suggested that the phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide, and a macro camera with 2-megapixel resolution. Improvements are expected on the front-facing camera, with 12-megapixel resolution.

The numbering reveals that this will be a more basic and affordable addition to the latest A-series range.

Price And Release Date

There’s no release date but the A37 and A57 are now on sale, so this may be the next model Samsung will release.

“It is only not yet clear when you can actually buy the device. We assume that he will appear during the summer. We expect a recommended retail price that is initially just above €300,” Galaxy Club reports. That price translates to around $350.
