Apple Invite for WWDC 2026

Apple Invite for WWDC 2026

Apple

Apple has released the schedule for its 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference, right before the Google I/O event. It also sent out media invites for an in-person keynote viewing at Apple Park, which will also be available to stream on Apple.com, the Apple TV app, and Apple’s YouTube channel. The invites read, “Coming bright up” to tease its upcoming announcements.

The conference will start on June 8 and end on June 12. Apple’s official keynote is set for 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (or 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time) on June 8. It is expected to give us our first look at an updated version of Siri, alongside the crucial upgrades coming to Apple devices with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and more.

This will be followed by the Platforms State of the Union for developers, with video sessions and guides coming out after the keynote. Apple says curated guides will also help developers navigate the week’s biggest announcements by platform and topic.

Alongside the event invites and schedule, the company also released a list of 36 Apple Design Awards finalists. It will announce the winners in the coming weeks. Like every year, Apple is also inviting 50 winners of the Swift Student Challenge for a “special three-day experience during WWDC week.”

What to expect from Apple WWDC 2026 keynote?

Apart from the first look at iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and others, Apple is expected to finally debut a smarter version of Siri, which was announced alongside Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024. That year, the company previewed three new ‌Siri‌ features, including the ability to do more in and between apps, onscreen awareness, and personal context. However, these features were delayed indefinitely and iOS 27 could be the platform that debuts these capabilities alongside a Siri chatbot.

I’m also keen to see the multitasking abilities of iOS 27, which could hint at the iPhone Fold launch. For years, Apple hasn’t added split-screen functionality or true multitasking with app-overlay features. But if we’re to get an iPhone Fold this year, iOS 27 is likely to get support for side-by-side apps and new sidebars, so people can make the most of the Fold’s big screen.

You can also expect new AI features in the iPhone Camera app. It is rumored to have built-in support for Visual Intelligence and a feature to help scan physical passes to create digital versions in the Wallet app. We’ll need to wait for June 8 for a more in-depth look at what’s to come, but this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Apple conferences in recent years.
