Andhra Pradesh is building a deep-tech ecosystem, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said.
He was speaking after inaugurating India’s first open access Quantum Reference Facilities in Amaravati on Tuesday, which is also the World Quantum Day.
The Bharat Quantum Reference Facility (Amaravati 1 S) is set up in SRM University, Amaravati while QBiT Tech’s facility (Amaravati 1 Q) is Medha Towers, Gannavaram.
“The launch of the facilities in Amaravati was a successful case study for technological convergence,” Naidu said.
A strong national technological consortium including different institutes with different capabilities provided indigenous supply chain to set up the facilities, he added.
The Chief Minister inaugurated in facility in SRM university Campus and Gannavaran facility was opened virtually.
“The two systems will strengthen both academic ecosystem for quantum skills and industry interface,” he added.
L Venkat Subramanian, Founder of QBiT Force, which made the two quantum computing testing facilities, said with the supper of the State Government and technology institution which supplied Made-in-India components, the deployment of the facilities could be done in a record time of four months.

It had all the potential to become a hub for quantum technology hub and skill training.
The Government of India has supported 300 professionals and create 17 start-up’s to create a quantum ecosystem so far, he said.
The Govt of India was committed to support quantum technology development professionals, the DST secretary said.
