A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Jewargi town of Kalaburagi district on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Lakshmikant, a resident of Kattisangavi village in Jewargi taluk.
According to the police, the accident occurred when a lorry collided with the two-wheeler ridden by Lakshmikant.
He sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
Police personnel visited the scene and carried out a preliminary inspection. A case has been registered at Jewargi Police Station.
