Two additional courts were inaugurated at the Palamaner court complex on Sunday to expedite the disposal of pending cases and strengthen the region’s judicial infrastructure.

Speaking on the occasion, Administrative Judge of A.P. High Court, N. Jaya Surya, said the new courts had been established as part of the High Court’s initiative to reduce the burden on judicial officers and ensure quicker delivery of justice. “Nearly 6,000 cases are currently pending before the Palamaner court, making the expansion a significant administrative measure,” he said.

The newly opened facilities include the First and Second Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division)-cum-Judicial First Class Magistrate courts.

He said protecting citizens’ fundamental rights through effective implementation of laws was essential to reinforcing public confidence in the judiciary. He described the Palamaner court complex as one of the best-equipped judicial campuses in the State and urged young lawyers to make full use of the available infrastructure to excel in the legal profession.

He also noted the historical significance of the Palamaner Bar Association and encouraged advocates to uphold its legacy.

High Court judges D. Ramesh, K. Maheswara Rao, and T.C.D. Sekhar, District Judge Aruna Sarika, Collector Sumit Kumar, Superintendent of Police (SP) Tushar Dudi, and members of the Bar attended the event.
