East Bengal is one of the five teams in contention for the Indian Super League (ISL) title this season, and goes into the final round, facing Inter Kashi in Kolkata on Thursday.
The Red-and-Gold Brigade leads the points table, having scored the most goals in the tournament, and stands a chance to end its 22-year wait for the national men’s top-flight title.
How can East Bengal win the ISL?
East Bengal is level on points with Mohun Bagan Super Giant, and leads the standings on goal difference.
For East Bengal to win the title, following are the possible scenarios:

- Bagan drops points against Sporting Club Delhi
- Mumbai City vs Punjab ends in a draw
- Jamshedpur FC wins by less than 13 goals over Odisha FC
Scenario 3: East Bengal loses to Inter Kashi
East Bengal is out of the race. Mumbai City will take the driving seat immediately.
