Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveils the State Focus Paper of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for 2026–27 in Amaravati on Tuesday, outlining a ₹5.11 lakh crore credit plan, as senior officials and bank representatives look on.

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has projected a total credit outlay of Rs 5.11 lakh crore for Andhra Pradesh in 2026–27. This marks an increase of 20 per cent over last year’s ₹4.24 lakh crore earmarked for priority sector lending.

Out of the total, ₹2.55 lakh crore has been earmarked for agriculture. This includes ₹1.66 lakh crore for crop loans, ₹34,972 crore for animal husbandry, ₹8,265 crore for farm mechanisation, ₹21,098 crore for fisheries and ₹11,961 crore for horticulture.

“Of the allocations made for horticulture, about ₹5,313 crore has been specifically designated for the Rayalaseema region and Prakasam district,” a State Government release said here on Tuesday.

The plan also provides ₹1.64 lakh crore in credit support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Additionally, ₹9,957 crore has been allocated for agricultural infrastructure and ₹12,687 crore for allied activities.

Addressing a gathering after releasing the NABARD’s Credit Plan for 2026-27, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has appealed to banks and NABARD representatives to proactively support the government’s efforts to promote the horticulture sector in the State.
