The Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEA) and the All India Cottonseed Crushers’ Association (AICOSCA) will organise the seventh SEA-AICOSCA Cottonseed and Groundnut Conclave 2026 in Gujarat’s Rajkot on August 22 and 23.

The conclave aims to provide a common platform for stakeholders to discuss innovations, market opportunities, policy developments, value addition, and global demand trends in cottonseed oil, cake and meal as well as groundnut oil and meal.

A media statement said the conclave will bring together hundreds of delegates, policymakers, industry leaders and stakeholders from across the cottonseed, groundnut, edible oil, cake, and meal value chains to discuss market trends, policy developments, trade opportunities, and the future of the sector.

Pillar of oilseed economy

It said that cotton is one of nature’s most versatile crops, uniquely providing fibre for clothing, edible oil for human consumption, and nutritious meal for livestock feed. Alongside groundnut, it forms a strong pillar of India’s oilseed economy, creating value across food, feed, and industrial sectors.

While cottonseed contributes through oil, cake, and meal, groundnut offers premium edible oil, protein-rich meal, and diverse applications in food products and exports, thereby supporting farmer incomes, nutritional security, and agri business growth.
