India's Reliance Industries plans to shut a crude unit and some secondary units at its 660,000 barrels per day refinery for three to four weeks later this month for routine maintenance, four sources familiar with the matter said.
Reliance, operator of the world's biggest refining complex, has two equal-sized crude distillation units at the refinery, which mainly supply refined fuels for Indian markets.
Reliance's complex also has a 704,000 bpd export-focused refinery.
Maintenance shutdown will start around mid-May after the private firm Nayara Energy resumes operations at its 400,000 bpd refinery to avoid any shortage of fuel in the country, one of the sources said.
Reliance did not respond to a Reuters email seeking comments.
