Despite carrying the entirety of Bravo and its many franchises on his back, Andy Cohen is a pretty private guy. He’s raised his two children out of the spotlight, and as for his love life/romantic prospects? We haven’t seen much over the years, since Andy largely keeps his personal life separate from the Bravo of it all.
But that seemingly changed earlier this month, when the 58-year-old media personality stepped out at New York City hotspot Via Carota for his birthday with a mystery man. It turns out the man in question is Kevin Sobieski, and while Andy hasn’t necessarily name-dropped him in the press, he has confirmed that he’s got a boyfriend! And that they’ve been together for almost a year!
So, without further ado, let’s get into Andy and Kevin’s relationship timeline to see how this really started.
According to reports from The Sun and People, Andy and Kevin reportedly met briefly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when they both took part in a fundraiser called Saturday Night Seder for Passover. Other celebs like Idina Menzel, Finn Wolfhard, Billy Porter, and Dan Levy also participated in the event.
Kevin and his longtime partner, Oscar-winning composer Benj Pasek, seemingly split after dating for three years. The exact timing is unclear, but it’s important to note that his presence on Benj’s Instagram profile dwindled in 2022.
Andy got candid about his dating life during an appearance on Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper, where he talked about what he looks for in a man.
“You know, I have kids, obviously, and so dating has really changed,” he said at the time. “I meet two kinds of people: people that I want to sleep with and people that I want to date. And people that I want to date and sleep with, obviously, that's the goal.”
He then admitted he was once on “every app” to try to meet someone, but his type is “all over” the place. “I mean, come one, come all. It’s really about a vibe,” the Bravo host explained. “I like strong, independent, smart, has their own thing going, handsome. You know, it’s so funny, the few people that I’ve hooked up with on Raya, that I’ve actually hooked up in person, mainly [don’t] watch Watch What Happens Live and don’t watch The Housewives.”

During the June 8, 2026 episode of his Sirius XM radio show, Andy revealed he met Kevin during a Fourth of July party the year prior.
“I almost didn't go to the party, you guys,” Andy admitted as he recounted the story to his co-host and ex, John Hill. “I almost didn’t go. And I dragged myself out. I never get invited to gay parties in the Hamptons anymore, and I was like, 'You know what? Let me just go.’”
He continued, “I was like, ‘I gotta talk to this guy, who is this guy?’ I went, we talked all night, I very methodically put my number in his phone. Apparently, I said to him twice that night, ‘I want to make sure that this number is right.’ He said, ‘I knew you were serious when you were really serious about this number.’”
On April 10, Andy was spotted with a mystery man (who was later identified as Kevin) in Miami…but the photos were so low-key that people didn’t even clock that Andy was soft-launching a new boyfriend.
It wasn’t until the second time that Andy was photographed with Kevin that fans really paid attention. Per photos published by People, the King of Bravo and Kevin were photographed holding hands on June 3 outside Via Carota in NYC’s West Village.
A few days after reports of a rumored romance between the pair surfaced, Andy hopped on the mic for his Sirius XM radio show and confirmed that he had a boyfriend—without naming names, of course.
“I do [have a boyfriend],” he shared. “People have asked me for a long time, you know, ‘When are you gonna get a boyfriend? Why don’t you have a boyfriend?’ And I have always said, ‘I will know when I meet the person.’”
He continued, “I don’t want to be with the wrong person. I value my time too much, I value my life too much…My criteria about what I was looking for never changed. It’s always been a feeling for me, and I’ve always followed the feeling. I am really happy to say that I met the person.
“This man is kind, and strong, and smart. He’s an adult,” he added. “He loves my children and they love him. And I love him…We just view life the same way. One year later, I still can’t believe I found him.”
