huntington ashram monastery is such a great album! The first side is a jazz harp trio with ron carter and rashid ali! Alice's entrance is so blistering she catches the engineer off guard and clips, and she rocks some bass riffs with her left hand. Its a fairly straight ahead jazz record, just with alice rocking the harp (the second side she plays piano).

That's interesting, I've never heard that, but it makes sense! I believe "M'aidez!" would be equivalent to "Aidez moi!" and would sound even more like Mayday. I prefer to call the day International Workers' Day, more descriptive.

when people feel safe to bring their whole selves to work, they're more productive, among other positive results. DEI programs are a boon to capitalists. it's amazing the idiots at target throw money away for some ideological war. not that i am an advocate for "better" capitalists or anything. i actually like the soft benefits of DEI programs like people being made happier and people learning how to not be such assholes.
Bryant Park is a great migrant trap. When I worked in the city I would bird there before work or at lunch every day. Look under the bushes where people are eating. I've seen everything from Mourning Warbler to Yellow-breasted Chat. Same with those pocket parks in front of the the skyscrapers in Rock Ct. Songbirds can't make it to Central Park. Even had a Virginia Rail at a little park across from 30 Rock -- for an entire week!
Not that’s it’s a contest..but in the workforce, I’ve noticed a direct correlation between anti-DEI folks and white folks that can’t do their jobs. 🤷🏻♂️

Certainly it has been corrupted more, but the government was corrupt well before Citizens United. More creativity needed to be exercised, but corruption in government is not a recent or new phenomena.
