Paddington maestro Paul King’s sweet origin story for Roald Dahl’s confectionery genius has a tart choice as lead. Timothée Chalamet isn’t a Broadway kind of guy, but he does have a surprisingly effective singing voice and his gangly exuberance wins you over. Young Willy arrives in town to sell his magical chocolates but a trio of established rivals (Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas and Mathew Baynton) set out to crush him.
