A MOTORCYCLIST IN his 30s has died following a single-vehicle collision in Co Leitrim on Thursday morning.
The fatal collision occurred on the L1556 Ballinamore to Cloone road, in Ballinamore, Co Leitrim at around 8.40am.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was brought by air ambulance to Beaumont Hospital but has since died from his injuries.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The road was closed for technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators and has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling on the L1556 Ballinamore to Cloone road between 8.15am and 9am on Thursday, 25 June are asked to make this available.
