Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPV) through which the institute will offer B. Tech (Manufacturing Engineering) for the TMPV employees of the Tata Motors Ranipet plant from the upcoming academic year 2026-27.

The MoU was signed by T Jayabarathi, Registrar, VIT, and Sitaram Kandi, Chief Human Resources Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles.

Pramod Choudhury, Vice President-Operations, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Neeraj Agarwal, Senior General Manager, PV Operations, Vivek Bindra, General Manager, Human Resources (PV), Sankar Viswanathan and Sekar Viswanathan, Vice Presidents, VIT, Kanchana Bhaaskaran, Vice Chancellor, and Kuppan P, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering, were also present at the event.
