Joey!: This is such an important topic. Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm
Ironside: I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this show Mark. My partner and I don’t have kids, but we have nieces and nephews and friends with kids that we’re very concerned about when it comes to the rectangles of evil. It’s hard to talk to them as parental advice is not often too welcomed from folks without kids. But we can share this show with them. Thank you so much. Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm
Mark Hurst:

↳ Ironside @6:33

Thanks, Ironside - hope this helps spark some dialogue within the extended family. Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:43pm

Bob Tankenstein: Another great interview. Thanks, Mark! Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:52pm
joe mulligan: "it lasted two minutes then they went outside to play" go figure!   6:52pm
JimmyTallow: So inspired by hearing that. People like her, Haidt, others fighting the good fight…I will try to bring that spirit into my own job. Thank you for airing the interview! Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:53pm
Jeff Moore: I definitely want to see social networking and other surveillance companies held responsible for privacy violations and intentionally addictive design...

...but we need to be really suspicious about recent pushes for intrusive ID requirements in the theoretical but usually wrongheaded push to try to force all software to know the identities and ages of all users. When you look at the proposed implementations for that stuff, the privacy incursions and opportunities for misuse or leakage of personal information are terrible.
