Happiness is knowing that the three online acquaintences you care about most are alive, well, and happy; that the confusion and worrying and not-knowing that was tearing you apart is gone; and that none of them seem bothered that you care about them all, in different ways, more than common sense would assume.

Of course, having spoken with two of them that morning also helps. :)
