Played around with a couple personality type tests today. (Can you tell I'm procrastinating?) We had to take one at some leadership workshop a couple years ago: I logged myself as INTP. The two tests I took today confirmed that, and the descriptions match, so it's all pretty consistent. I found this one amusing, though: Bloginality: the INTP personality Specifically, I quote:
As a weblogger, you might not be as concerned about popularity, but more with the ideas and theories that you strive to understand. Because routines aren't your strong point, you might be more likely to work on the concept of how to do a blog, but not be as excited to keep it up.
Emphasis mine. At least I know myself well. :)
Of the links listed on Bloginality, Hale Online's was very accurate. Socionics.com's was useless.
(I'm not really fond of chess or word games like Scrabble. I like backgammon though. And Set.)
They are the "absent-minded professors"
hmm..
On the other hand, the INTP is very self-confident and gregarious
around people they know well, or when discussing theories which they fully
understand.
Accurate.
The INTP may have a problem with self-aggrandizement and social
rebellion
Heh. Not me.
The INTP is not naturally likely to tailor the truth so as to explain
it in an understandable way to others.
Of course, one must understand that these are all generalizations. This,
I think, does not apply to me; I'm a teacher by nature. Stoichiometry,
children, is like baking...
I am very curious to know what Hixie would be classified as, since we tend to think alike. I'm just less extreme and more incompetent. ¬_¬
I really should read up a bit on Jung. I don't know much about his theories, but little I've heard over the years is fascinating.
Know Thyself.
Socrates, Thales, and likely others as well
