A major action thriller featuring Liam Neeson and Zachary Levi has found a theatrical release date with a new title. Previously known as Hotel Tehran, the film will be released in cinemas in early autumn.
Inaugural Entertainment will release the film, now titled The Fix, across theaters on September 11, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Neeson and Levi lead a cast that also features Quincy Isaiah, Wes Chatham, Titus Welliver, Navid Negahban, and Elnaaz Norouzi, among others.
The story is about a redemption mission gone wrong. Neeson plays Larry, a former CIA operative who carries the scars of a failed assignment in Afghanistan. Levi will be seen as Tucker, his trusted ally. Together, they assemble a crew of disgraced operatives and head into the Iranian capital, hoping a bold rescue will restore their reputations and heal old wounds. The arc promises to balance visceral set pieces with the moral weight of combat.
Guy Moshe directs The Fix and co-wrote the script with Mark Bacci and Ron Hutchinson, as per the outlet. Speaking about the release, Inaugural Entertainment co-founder Kevin Weisberg made the company’s intentions clear. “We are thrilled to bring The Fix to wide theatrical audiences as a cornerstone of our fall slate,” he said. “Guy Moshe has crafted a propulsive, incredibly sophisticated action thriller that demands to be experienced on the big screen.”
Moshe himself spoke of the cast’s dedication to the material. “The Fix was born from a long-standing desire of mine to put audiences inside the chaos and moral weight of war, not just the action of it,” the director stated. “Working with an ensemble cast that was entirely committed to our cause, led by Liam and Zac, who set the tone, allowed me to push the story into deeply human territory while still delivering the visceral, large-scale filmmaking this genre demands.”
